Biographical notes for William Hawke
William, Maria, her mother, brothers and sisters left Cornwall aboard the 'Trafalgar' on 6 March 1854. They arrived in Adelaide on 28 June 1854. William and Maria took land in Uraidla in the Adelaide Hills, and the property is still in the hands of their descendants, and still being used for market gardening.
