Biographical notes for Samuel Keightley
The Biographical Index of South Australians contains the following entry for Samuel :
Born about 1819 in Truro, Con, England. Died 4 June 1878, at Warnertown SA. Buried at Napperby Cemetery. Arrived at Port Adelaide in 1850 aboard "WILLIAM STEVENSON". His residences were at Napperby, Angaston and Warnertown. He was married, and their children were John Charles (c1846 - 1925), Charles Stanford (1849 - 1927), Herbert and another by 1850.

Samual lived in Loughborough, Leicester, Eng about 1848, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire about 1850, then came to South Australia. Here, he lived at Angaston (G Fife Angas Estate) about 1850 (vigneron), and at Government Dam, Napperby about 1878, (butcher and baker). He died at Napperby, and was buried by Rev. M Edwards on 6 June 1878, Grave 43, Block 5. [information from Nan Manning]
