Biographical notes for Stanley Gilson
According to Faith Boxold, Stanley died while on active service with the Royal Engineers (Seargent), in Mersa Matruk (?), North Africa. He sustained carbon monoxide poisoning while sinking wells in the desert. Buried at Mersah (?) Matruck Military Cemetary, Plot 3, Row A, Grave 3.
