Biographical notes for Agnes Stodart nee Wilke
Of Echlin. Adam Stodart, the pianoforte maker, introduced his wife's relative, David Wilke (then 19), to the Earle of Mansfield who commissioned him to work on a painting. Eventually he was knighted, Sir David Wilkie.
Her mother Janet Baron was from Preston, Linlithgow.
