Parents were Robert and Elizabeth MacGregor nee Thomson. Born about 1865, in SA? Died by 1918. His occupation was a station manager. His residences were at Quondong station, Cournamont station and Watervale. His religion was Church of England. He was married on 28 December 1889, at Mt Barker, SA, to Julia nee Stuart. Her parent was Charles William. She was born about 1862, and died 21 January 1918. She is buried at Penwortham Cemetery, SA. Their child was Jack Muir (c1894 - ).
