Welcome to my experimental Family History environment. I am developing a web site using javascript and php programming, and xml protocols for data storage, that will eventually allow searches of any web site that uses my xml data format. Visitors will be able convert their gedcom databases to and from xml, or enter their data through this site, with the actual files stored on your computer or your web site. For those without a web site, I can provide hosting for your data file for a small fee. This will provide a great way for many people to have their research presented in the web for the first time.
Currently, there is no 'standard' for xml genealogy files, so I have created my version which will hold all the usual Gedcom data. If or when a standard emerges, I will adopt it, and provide an upgrade path for those who use my interim data format.
