Family Village

Want a nice looking, easy to use family history web site of your very own?
Need a little help to set up and use a database program on the internet?
Do you want to share but keep control of your data, and not 'give' it to some distant web Company?

I have had my Family History on the web since the early 1990s, in several different forms. My current web database program is by TNG, and is easy to learn. Setting up your own web presence is easy but can be tricky. I am willing to show you what you need to know, and how to go about setting up your very own web site with a the TNG web software. You can learn the essentials, and I provide this information freely. You will need to outlay some money for software and hosting, and optionally for your own Domain name. I can also provide more support for modest cost.

Not sure you want to do this?
Worried about paying for something when there are many horror stories on the web?

I am willing to set up your site for you, and provide ongoing support, for a modest fee. You then control the site and its contents. If owning your own web space is too expensive, then consider sharing a web space for your smaller family history work (up to about 1,000 people). I manage the hosting, backups and security, leaving you free to look after your research and data.

I offer a cost effective way for you to maintain a web presence with my membership site. If you are interested, please Email me at jan@jansquire.com, to discuss possibilities.

It costs nothing to ask questions to see if my offer is right for you. Whatever you decide, Family History is for fun and sharing. Enjoy!
